A huge amount has been written concerning leadership and management theory, styles, etc., and many blue chip companies have long recognised the value of leadership and management training and, when successful, its positive effect on profits.

In our experience, many managers of small to medium enterprises (SME’s) in the manufacturing sector have excellent technical skills but often lack the ‘soft skills’ required to get the best performance from their team.
It is important therefore, that in order to deliver improved business performance, the leadership must be able to successfully manage the workforce, and to understand their own leadership behaviour and its impact on others.
